The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (“ TCPA”)(47 USC §227)  is a federal law intended to protect consumers from unwanted phone calls, text messages and voicemails. The TCPA is also intended to protect the privacy of consumers. The penalties for violating the guidelines outlined in the TCPA can reach from $500 to $1,500  (if the violation is willful or knowing).

If you have received unwanted Prerecorded Messages on either your cell phone or home phone you may have claim under the TCPA.

Some companies even employ Ringless Voicemail technology to drop prerecorded messages in the voicemail box of unknowing consumers. If you have received any of these unwanted messages we want to talk to you.
